A medical device used in laparoscopic hysterectomy (“bandaid surgery”) and fibroid tumor removal has been found to spread cancer cells to other parts of the body. The device, called a laparoscopic power morcellator, cuts tissue into tiny pieces for removal. If cancer cells are present in the tissue, the morcellator “releases” the cells to spread throughout the body.
Approximately 400 women have experienced this devastating aftermath of a common medical procedure. If your surgery (or that of a loved one) was performed with a laparoscopic power morcellator and you developed cancer, call us to discuss your case. You may be entitled to financial compensation and we will fight to see that you receive justice.
